Moon

Moon is another way to present accessible information. It is a tactile method, which uses shapes rather than dots and some of these are based on print letters.

It is sometimes used with adults who have lost their sight as it may be easier to understand than braille, and the raised shapes are easier to determine than the braille dots.

It has a larger equivalent size than braille, so will take up more pages.

We can produce it either as "continuous" letters or as "dotty" letters. Our experience with the "dotty" Moon is that it is effective and quicker and cheaper than the "continuous" Moon.
